Very little swell and thankfully less wind meant not much waveriding but
perfect jumping conditions so our last day was one final mass loopathon.
Several more "attempts" for me but all with the same mistakes in spite of
plenty of gentle encouragement from Steve. Meanwhile Colin began to tackle
the Wymaroo method of loop learning under the tutelage of Rod and I fear
that I might have to start going down the same route in order to conquer my
inability to properly throw, sheet in and look back. I'm also interested in
finding out if I have any greater success with the damn move on the evil
tack in Tenerife as sheeting in with my stronger right hand does feel more
natural. (my port-starboard gybes are always my best partly for that reason
I think.)
Fatigue quickly got the better of me during the afternoon session so I
concentrated on the usual jumps/gybes/rides for the last hour and scored a
very nice 3 turn waist-higher towards the end on which everything that I've
learnt on this holiday felt like it really came together. I think my
waveriding has improved significantly in the last 10 days.
Another solid day on the water to end a proper good trip. 8 days out of 11
almost all of them in cross to cross-off decent sized waves. Nice one
Moulay. :)
